Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Des Moines, IA)

Cedar North Early Learning Partners operates neighbourhood childcare around Des Moines. We are hiring a Senior UX Designer to take on accessibility review. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around classroom supplies that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Experience running usability tests. • Background in classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
