Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Chicago, IL)

Harborlight Meadow Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Chicago, and we need a Senior UX Designer to lead our accessibility review. We are friendly and busy, especially on weekends. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Design for tasks around promotions that people do under time pressure. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. • Sketch, prototype and test new flows with real people. What we are looking for • Care for plain language and accessibility. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. Nice to have • Background in promotions. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
