Senior UX Designer - accessibility review (Austin, TX)

Bright West Transit Planning Group is looking for a Senior UX Designer. The job centres on accessibility review for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Maintain a small design system of reusable components. • Audit screens for accessibility and readability. • Design for tasks around ridership counts that people do under time pressure. • Work with developers so designs ship as intended. • Interview users and staff to understand where the current experience fails. What we are looking for • Two or more years of UX or product design experience. • A portfolio showing your process, not only finished screens. • Comfort with Figma or a similar tool. • Care for plain language and accessibility. Nice to have • Background in ridership counts. • Experience running usability tests. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
