Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Tucson, AZ)

Lumen Bright Community Partners is a nonprofit in Tucson supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our web applications. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about benefits enrolment into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with benefits enrolment. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Tucson. • We reply to every applicant.
