Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Seattle, WA)

Summit Field Community Partners is a Seattle charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our web applications. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about volunteer shifts into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
