Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Seattle, WA)

Greenridge Maple Water Authority Group is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for meter reading, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 15 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about meter reading into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Seattle, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
