Senior Software Engineer - web applications (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Summit Insurance Group and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about catastrophe response into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
