Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Rochester, NY)

Bright Pike Learning Group is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 439 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
