Senior Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Field Learning Group and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 151 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Turn requests about attendance records into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with attendance records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Las Vegas. • We reply to every applicant.
