Senior Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Bright Union Health Group runs clinics and patient services around Portland. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on web applications. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about insurance authorisations into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with insurance authorisations. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
