Senior Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Vista Water Authority and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 172 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about pipe repairs into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
