Senior Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Summit Loom Insurance Group sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Boise, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our web applications. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about claims into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Boise. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
