Senior Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Ironwood Drift Health is a healthcare provider in Austin with clinics and support teams. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on web applications. We are busy and kind, and we look after each other. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about patient scheduling into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with patient scheduling. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
