Senior Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Highbridge Nest Community Partners is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for grant reporting, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Turn requests about grant reporting into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with grant reporting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
