Senior Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Ironwood Health runs childcare centres in Philadelphia caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our web applications. You would join a large organisation of about 796 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about tuition and subsidies into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with tuition and subsidies. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Philadelphia. • We reply to every applicant.
