Senior Software Engineer - web applications (remote)

Harborlight Ivory Health Associates runs clinics and patient services around Knoxville. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on web applications. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Turn requests about insurance authorisations into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with insurance authorisations. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
