Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Philadelphia, PA)

We are growing our team at Nova Amber Insurance Group and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Philadelphia. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
