Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Orlando, FL)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Granite Water Authority Group and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about meter reading into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Orlando, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
