Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Orlando, FL)

Cedar North Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around Orlando, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our web applications. You would join a large organisation of about 645 people based in Orlando. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about claims into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Orlando. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
