Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Orlando, FL)

Summit Corner Water Authority is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for meter reading, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about meter reading into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Orlando, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
