Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Omaha, NE)

Amberfield Nest Water Authority Group is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on web applications for water quality, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about water quality into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Omaha, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
