Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Memphis, TN)

We are growing our team at Summit Loom Insurance Partners and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 154 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about underwriting files into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
