Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Madison, WI)

We are growing our team at Summit Loom Insurance Group and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 111 people based in Madison. What you will do • Turn requests about catastrophe response into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
