Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Meadow Financial and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about loan applications into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with loan applications. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
