Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Boston, MA)

We are growing our team at Redstone Ridge Insurance and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be web applications. You would join a small organisation of about 133 people based in Boston. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
