Senior Software Engineer - web applications (Austin, TX)

Northwind Timber Learning Group is an education provider in Austin serving students and families. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on web applications. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about attendance records into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with attendance records. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
