Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (St. Louis, MO)

We are growing our team at Summit Umber Facilities and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in St. Louis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
