Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (St. Louis, MO)

We are growing our team at Bright West Energy and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about outage response into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with outage response. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in St. Louis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
