Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Seattle, WA)

Greenridge Water Authority is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for capital projects, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 117 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about capital projects into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
