Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Seattle, WA)

Fernwood Quill Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Seattle region. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about outage response into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
