Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Salt Lake City, UT)

Westbrook Sparrow Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Salt Lake City region, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Salt Lake City. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about service connections into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with service connections. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
