Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Rochester, NY)

Cedar Wilder Medical is a Rochester company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about production lots into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with production lots. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
