Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (Rochester, NY)

Stonegate Amber Medical Group builds devices used by hospitals and clinics, with its team based in Rochester, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with clinical evaluations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
