Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Harborlight Ember Financial is a financial-services company in Columbus, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about customer onboarding into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer onboarding. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Columbus. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
