Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Northwind Thistle Insurance is an insurance company in Philadelphia with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about premium billing into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with premium billing. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Philadelphia. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
