Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Silverline Cobalt Insurance is an insurance company in Memphis with claims and service teams, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Memphis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
