Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Fernwood Harbor Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 38 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about service alerts into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Orlando. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
