Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Amberfield Beacon Community Partners is a Kansas City charity working with residents on basic needs and opportunity. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about client intake into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with client intake. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Kansas City. • We reply to every applicant.
