Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Northwind Lantern Insurance and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about premium billing into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with premium billing. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
