Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Ember Financial and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about customer onboarding into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with customer onboarding. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
