Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Bright Quill Telecom is a telecommunications provider in Kansas City focused on reliable home and business connections, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would join a small organisation of about 50 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about customer tickets into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Kansas City. • We reply to every applicant.
