Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Silverline Corner Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Omaha. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. Children come first and so does looking after the teachers. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about enrolment into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with enrolment. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Omaha. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
