Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Summit Oak Energy is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for service connections, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 151 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about service connections into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with service connections. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Memphis. • We reply to every applicant.
