Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Harborlight Timber Early Learning Group is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for licensing records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We celebrate small wins and steady routines. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about licensing records into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with licensing records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
