Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Ironwood Sparrow Energy is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on reliability and monitoring for usage data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about usage data into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with usage data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Boise. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
