Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Ironwood Rook Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Tucson, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. We follow the school calendar and we like people who like learning. What you will do • Turn requests about attendance records into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with attendance records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Tucson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
