Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Amberfield Stone Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Cleveland, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Turn requests about service installations into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with service installations. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Cleveland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
