Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Keystone Transit Planning and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about survey data into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
