Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Bluepeak Cedar Telecom Group builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Cleveland area, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our reliability and monitoring. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about customer tickets into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer tickets. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Cleveland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
