Senior Software Engineer - reliability and monitoring (remote)

Bright Quill Legal Group Partners provides legal services in Seattle across employment, housing and small-business law. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on reliability and monitoring. People here care about clients, not just cases. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about client files into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with client files. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Seattle. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
